Combine high contrast colors to make your slide stand out

Subtlety of soft pastel colors and sophisticated color palettes are part of the know-how of an artist. If you don't master this, avoid complex mix of colors. Go for the contrast instead.

→ Here are 5 basic rules for you:

1. White text on black background works perfect, as well as the contrary. You can do better: white text on dark grey background.

2. Or Canary yellow (it's the Pantone 803, not the gold yellow) on dark blue template.

3. Remember that what counts is HIGH CONTRAST. It's your guaranteed victory against aging lamps and dirty filters of videoprojectors.

4. Avoid also the use of too many colors on a single slide. Simplicity always works. Still don't be simplistic.

5. Dark backgrounds are soft for the eye, as the powerful videoprojector lamp is effective on light items which in this case is your well-contrasted colors.
